The innovation Society, Sustainability and Technology (INSITE)

Period: 2011 - 2014

INSITE is an EC Coordination Action, funded through DC Connect, whose principal objective is to assemble a community of researchers and practitioners to engage in constructing a research and action agenda based upon a new unified approach to three grand themes, all fundamental in current discourse about society and where it might be heading: innovation, sustainability, ICT. .

INSITE seeks to coordinate alternative approaches to the organization of social transformation processes to enable civil society to mobilize itself to construct a socially sustainable future. This depends critically on new ways to design and use ICT. INSITE aims to coordinate a systemic perspective, based upon ideas and methods drawn from complex systems science. .
