The Interdisciplinary Research Programme "City and Environment" (PIRVE), created in 2006, is supported by the CNRS and the French Ministry of Sustainable development. After three calls for research proposals, it funds (or has funded) 37 research projects. It now enters its closing phase, to which is dedicated the current contract with PUCA.
Its director is Sabine Barles since 2010.
