Camille Boichot work about dynamics of urban artistic spaces in Paris and Berlin. In this research, she compares the organization of contemporary art in both metropolises. Polarization and networking of art and artists in Berlin and Paris are explored at different scales through quantitative and qualitative methods (elaboration of an original database describing contemporary art exhibition spaces and interviews with artists living in Neukölln and Montreuil). This work aims to show the articulations between place-base practices and mobilities of people as of objects that contribute to understand interactions between the spatial system of contemporary art and urban space in two of the major european metropolises.
