Dilruba Erkan is a Ph.D. student at the University of Paris 1. Panthéon - Sorbonne, U.M.R. Geographie - Cité, team P.A.R.I.S. and has a co-tutelle with the University of Vienna, department of sociology.
Her current research in on interrogating consequences of gentrification on social dynamics in ethnic zones, in İstanbul, Paris, and Vienna. She is preparing her thesis under the supervision of Prof. Petros Petsimeris and Prof. Yuri Kazepov.
