ICT have transformed deeply the production of music. Today one can make a CD at a very lower cost than it could make a vinyl disc record. Moreover, recording techniques changed quickly and costs decreased sharply. Access to recording studios has become much more easy. Music groups more diverse , younger and less trained have an easier access to a market, very competitive but more open than years ago. These evolution induced major changes in location features of the music industry: decentralized locations, proximity to the places where new music styles are emerging, especially in the parisian suburbs, relations with foreign countries (like African,..).
